This mandarin restaurant, while often overlooked, has been garnering attention for its delightful offerings centered around gyoza and wonton dishes. Grace appreciated the gyoza’s exceptional flavor, describing the wonton filling as “flavorful” despite challenges in ordering due to the language barrier. Java echoed this sentiment, labeling the gyoza as “satisfying” and praising the “stunning” drooling duck, which showcases Oolong’s ability to deliver a vibrant izakaya experience even in a bright, casual setting.

Reviews for Tokyo Gyoza Stand Oolong
Review highlights
Based on 849 reviewsTokyo Gyoza Stand Oolong is praised for its flavorful and expertly prepared gyoza, which are often described as juicy, crispy, and aromatic. The restaurant's compact, clean setting within Tokyo Station offers a convenient stop for travelers seeking authentic Chinese-style dumplings and noodle dishes. Many reviewers highlight the high-quality ingredients, such as braised Wagyu beef, and appreciate the unique twists like shiso-flavored dumplings. While the staff's limited English can present ordering challenges, the use of QR code menus and cashless payments helps streamline the experience. Overall, the eatery is valued for its combination of delicious food, efficient service, and a cozy atmosphere, making it a recommended spot for quick, satisfying meals in the area.
This is a pit stop but the food and service are excellent. We had 2 plates of the fried gyoza, made on site, and the steamed beef rice. This was so good. Rice topped with thinly sliced braised Wagyu and an egg yolk. The beef was so delicious - we want to go back and have it again.
We found this restaurant by chance while looking for luggage lockers at Tokyo Station. It is located directly in front of the locker area, which caught our attention. The staff did not speak English, so ordering was a bit challenging. However, since the restaurant’s name includes “gyoza,” we decided to order gyoza, roast pork with fried egg, and wonton noodles. Surprisingly, the food was quite good, especially the gyoza. The wonton filling was also flavorful, likely because the restaurant specializes in gyoza, wonton, and similar dishes. The roast pork was quite standard and nothing particularly special. The food was served quickly, which is a big plus considering the fast-paced environment of Tokyo Station.
I stopped by when I had some free time inside Tokyo Station. It's a small shop with only a counter, but it's clean and easy to go in alone. The fried dumplings are crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, so they're very filling. The shiso dumplings in particular have a great aroma, and the moment you bite into them, the soup oozes out, which was a surprise, like a xiaolongbao dumpling. The potato salad is mixed by you and has a fluffy texture. It's also a satisfying light meal to go with rice. I'd like to come back.
Their dumplings are good. I also liked the back ground music. It was easy to order as they take orders from a QR code. FYI, as for payment they don’t take cash.
The gyoza are inspired. Amazing. The oolong ale is very nice, too. Eating there was quite an experience!
Yes. Come here. Leave happy. Get a beer, the maze soba, and two plates of yaki gyoza. Thank me later...
“Gyoza is not a side dish, it’s the main dish.” It’s a presence that almost says so. This is a neo-Chinese stand in Tokyo Station where you can enjoy hand-wrapped gyoza created by a Michelin chef. Double fried egg with char siu The golden trio of melting char siu and two melting yolks. A sinful dish where you have to choose between white rice or beer. Melting potato salad Soft and smooth. With a hint of spice, it lives up to its status as “potato salad at a Chinese bar.” Fried gyoza This is the specialty. A serious dish supervised by a Michelin chef. Crispy wings, chewy skin, and overflowing meat juice. You’ll be completely captivated by the impact of the first bite. Drooling duck The umami of the duck is matched with a spicy sauce made from Sichuan pepper and chili peppers. The numbness and umami keep your mouth full of fun. Raw pickled mustard greens We chose raw pickled mustard greens. It's light and crunchy, and a great supporting actor that resets the greasiness. Ajitama Chinese noodles A classic yet somehow sophisticated. The balance of chicken and seafood is just right, and even though it's not a ramen specialty store, the quality is so high. Shiso boiled dumplings Another main ingredient. The aroma of shiso spreads through the filling, making it a refreshing dish that can be eaten easily even on a hot and humid day. Who would have thought you could eat such authentic dumplings and Chinese snacks right in the middle of Tokyo Station? It's not just because it's inside the station, but even though it's inside the station, it's so delicious.
I went to Tokyo Gyoza Stand Oolong in Gransta Tokyo inside Tokyo Station () I had been passing by the shop many times and was curious about it, but this was my first visit It is a stand-style gyoza bar with a modern atmosphere, and the counter-centered interior has a stylish and casual atmosphere This quality is quite rare in a station. This shop's specialty is authentic gyoza that is "handmade from the skin"! Fried gyoza, boiled gyoza, juicy gyoza like xiaolongbao, and unusual varieties using cilantro, all of which are unique yet carefully prepared. What I had on this day was... -Fried gyoza Crispy and fragrant on the outside, juicy and full of meat juice on the inside! It was so juicy that I thought "xiaolongbao?" and was very satisfied! -Shiso boiled gyoza A refreshing dish with a soft shiso scent. The skin is chewy and delicious when mixed with the soup ・Gyoza Ale An original beer made to go with gyoza. It has a slight bitterness but a clean aftertaste! You'll get addicted to it. ・Char Siu Egg A combination of sweetly stewed char siu and soft, half-boiled eggs. It makes you want rice lol ・Raw pickled mustard greens The crunchy texture and saltiness are pleasant, making it the perfect palate cleanser. ・Coriander Meat Miso Bean Sprouts The rich meat miso, combined with the aroma of coriander, will get your appetite going! ・Wonton A smooth texture and gentle taste. The broth is delicious! This restaurant is recommended not only for those who love gyoza, but also for those who just want a quick drink () Thank you for the meal!
Enjoy authentic gyoza in a station! Gyoza stand inside Tokyo Station We went to [Tokyo Gyoza Stand Oolong] on the B1F of Gransta Tokyo Station. With only a counter, this casual restaurant is easy for solo diners to enter, making it the perfect place for a quick drink after work. I usually prefer boiled gyoza, but on this day I also enjoyed pan-fried gyoza and other dishes. Coriander boiled gyoza (550) The combination of sesame sauce, coriander, and Japanese pepper on smooth, small gyoza is the best! A classic dish that I order every time. Pan-fried gyoza (500) I was impressed with my first order. The meat juice and chewy skin were very satisfying. Char siu egg W (880) Melting char siu and soft-boiled fried egg. The sweet and spicy sauce makes you want rice. Drooling duck (780) The spicy green onions add an accent. Snacks that go well with beer. Mazesoba (950) Medium-thick, chewy noodles topped with cashew nuts and minced meat. Mix with egg yolk for a rich, authentic taste. Gyoza Ale (640) Craft beer made with oolong tea. A refreshing taste that goes well with gyoza Everything is of a high quality, and the appeal is that you can enjoy it in more ways than just gyoza. Open for lunch and all day, this is an excellent station gourmet spot that you can enjoy at any time!
I don't know why this place only has 3.2stars. the gyozas were pretty satisfying and the drooling duck was stunning! Vibrant izakaya vibes, albeit in bright setting in the train station. Decent service too, our staff preparing drink was polite, smiley and prompt This place deserves at least a four star.
